The Shoe Salon by Dolce Vita exists because the resale market solved availability and never solved confidence. We buy a small number of pairs, authenticate every one, restore what deserves it, and describe all of it honestly — including the parts that lower the price.
Our standard
Three grades, and we never inflate one.
A grade is a promise, not a marketing device. If a pair sits between two grades, it takes the lower one.
Never Worn
Unworn, as it left the boutique. Box and dustbag where noted. Nothing here has been tried on for a photograph and quietly returned to the shelf.
Excellent
Worn once — a gala, a wedding, an evening. Sole and heel near-pristine. Every mark that exists is written into the listing.
Restored
Reworked in our atelier and sold as Restored. We never inflate a grade. A restored pair is never described as excellent, whatever it looks like in the photograph.
What we hold to
Three values, no slogans.
Selective
We take a handful of pairs a week. Most of what is offered to us is declined.
Transparent
Condition notes name the flaw before you find it. Restored pieces say so on the card.
Editorial
Every pair carries its story: why it is rare, what it survived, who wore it once.
